This is a classic case of "I want what I want and if you get what you want it takes away from what I want." Players are just being people.
That swimmy turtle mount is SO about hardcore fishing. I can't fish that much and I want... so it's not fair. Change it.

The "I'm not special if you have it" is darn tired. To those folks I say: Me having item-x does not in any way make your gameplay less fun, unless your gameplay is about self gratification - in which case you're better of playing with yourself.
ReplyDeleteThe hardcores, casuals, anyone! can always not use the feature, and therefore never have to deal with it. If your Guild choses to use it, and you don't like that; then change guilds.
