Mount Changes
Zul'Gurub will be removed, taking the tiger and raptor mounts. Considering they quickly found a new home for the rare drop pet and already have a new home for Polymorph: Turtle, I still have hope for these mounts coming back.
The Green Proto-Drake that drops out of the Oracle's revered-required Cracked Egg is now easier to get. The egg cracks after 3 days (down from 7) and the droprate for the mount has increased. ^_^
Mounts you got by beating super-hard-mode bosses are now a rare drop on their 25-mans.
Cute and Functional
New race/class combos such as night elf mage, tauren paladin, etc.
Time to go to work.

ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's helpful but you might want to add that I *think* the Venomhide Ravasaur mount will still be available in Cataclysm, and I think that the Sprite Darter Hatchling pet won't be. In both cases I'm not 100% sure, particularly on the hatchling, but worth adding if someone can confirm/deny as these are popular items.
Nice to hear about the Green Proto-Drake. As for the mounts in ZG...

ReplyDeleteI haven't heard that anything other than the noted will be removed. I think we can assume that they're safe unless otherwise noted.
