Little known fact about damage over time spells such as Pain for priests -- they take a few seconds to tick, which means melee classes who want to help a priest out usually end up stealing the mob away.
And you can't really get mad at the melee because it's an honest mistake.

Yep, that is incredibly annoying. I would also like to take the time to also state that if you're a Blood Elf and attempt to tag your mob by using Mana Tap, just don't bother. It will aggro the mob onto you, stopping you from leaving combat, but if somebody attacks it whilst it is on the way to you then you will lose it and have to wait to eat/drink.
